So apparently my house over the years has played temporary shelter too a variety of Snow White's woodland creatures against its will. First it was the entire litter of raccoons trapped in our crawl space that clawed a hole through the ceiling before anyone believed me that I heard something running around over my bed at night and scratching away in the bathroom. I got to have a victorious "I told you so" moment with my father as little paws were over our heads.
Then, last year, our cleaning lady walked downstairs to fine a giant possum. She is still afraid of going into our basement to this day. It was finally trapped and sent to the forest preserve, where it better frickin stay because it was frightening.
As of late I've been hearing Tapping in our computer room, though it was always too soft for anyone else to hear but me, so I ignored it until yesterday. It started loud yesterday in the kitchen, but I couldn't do much more than listen to it. Today however, it decided the kitchen wasn't good enough and began pecking its hole into my bedroom wall. Twice today, I have woken up to incessant tapping noises and small soft scratching sounds. I got our cleaning lady Eva and her Husband, and we just finished our 15 minute adventure of "Find the fucking bird". Well at least I have an alarm clock with no snooze button. Hopefully work will finally call me in.
